Hens parties
Planning a hens party? You'll find no more special venue than Mámor Chocolates & High Tea Szalón in Collingwood. Throw the best hens party ever for that bride-to-be. We can accommodate dinners and standing cocktail parties. Pick that special entertainment that will best please your maid of honor. Use the levity to give intimate advice to the bride-to-be. Maybe you'd rather have a "pamper party" with guests indulging a pedicure, or a chocolate class led by Mámor's own Chocdiva Dr Hanna Frederick. We can arrange packs of themed games, pre-printed invitations, decorations, and novelties, as pleases you.
Here are some of our previous fantastic events to stimulate your creative thinking!
Mámor sponsors The Melbourne Musicians

Mámor is honoured to have been designated Official Chocolate Sponsor to The Melbourne Musicians. Even musicians also have a sweet tooth, so our role is to donate complementary chocolates to everyone in the audience. Founded by Frank Pam in 1975, Melbourne Musicians comprises leading freelance players, including string teachers at Melbourne's foremost private schools, and advanced students from institutions such as the Australian National Academy of Music.
Royal Wedding High Tea at Mámor
Mámor Chocolates Szalón celebrated the 2011 Royal Wedding with exclusive High Teas. Our guests sat in the Monarchy style antique environment sipping champagne and Tokaj wine, eating European sweets served on English antique porcelain, while viewing the ceremony on the big screen.
Viennese High Tea and Austro-Hungarian dinner

To commemorate the National Gallery's Vienna Art & Design exhibit, in July 2011 we hosted an Austro-Hungarian-themed dinner with special Austrian and Hungarian dishes around a 12-person dining room table. Held in our Viennese-style baroque antique Szalón, the party included a chocolate bar, Glüh wine presented in a very secret way, Hortobágyi chicken palacsinta, Goulash soup, Sauerbraten with dumplings, Wiener Schnitzel, Topfenstrudel, and of course walnut beigli.
Lonely Fathers High Tea

Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. For fathers whose children are not with them on Father's Day, guests joined Mamor's co-owner, Howard Frederick (pictured), for a complimentary bubbly and chocolates in the evening to Mámor. Plus he'll show a couple heart-warming episodes of the class 1950's American family comedy, Father Knows Best, one of his favourties growing up in America.
Mid-Winter Christmas
We celebrated "Christmas in July at Mámor Chocolates Szalón with a Christmas-themed supper. Events started with special Austrian, German and Hungarian dishes around a 12-person dining room table or in our front szalón. Held in our Viennese-style baroque antique environment, the party included a chocolate bar, Glüh wine presented in a very secret way, Hortobágyi chicken palacsinta, Goulash soup, Sauerbraten with dumplings, Wiener Schnitzel, Gundel crepes lit and of course walnut or poppy seed beigli (sweet bread with filling). To end (or forget!) your financial year, we toasted with Hungarian Tokaji icewine.
Mámor's Valentine's Day Party
We hold our annual Champagne and Aphrodisiac Chocolate Party with a big selection of Valentine's Day chocolate! The private party included chocolate, champagne and cocktail food. "Falling in love produces certain effects on the body that create an emotional high. Same with chocolate. That's why we often substitute chocolate for love - or give chocolates when in love", says Hanna, the PhD Chocolate Chemist.
Pairing Wine with Chocolate: The Sweet Dilemma

Mámor has launched its Chocolate and Wine Pairing game in Melbourne that matches personality elements of wine and chocolate, just like a matchmaker would match a love couple. The party begins with delectable Mámor chocolates and wines in in numbered tasting bags. You'll have a short "Chocolate and Wine Tasting Guidelines" plus the Mámor Chocolate Flavour Wheel (shown). After tasting each wine and chocolate, guests write their descriptions on "scorecards". Engaging conversation is guaranteed, and everyone will leave with a better grasp of the facets of wine tasting and chocolate pairing.
